About Monetize U

Hi! I’m Joel Orr. I’ve been a successful and well-known consultant in CAD (computer-aided design) for more than 30 years. Three years ago, I became a coach, and started helping people write and publish books.

It was clear that the Internet was the way to go, in terms of marketing; so I threw myself into it.

Success did not come easily to me. When I moved my business online, I wasted a huge amount of time and money trying to figure out what to do and how to do it. Mind you, I’m a knowledgeable computer guy; I know my way around computers and the Internet.

What I was ignorant of was marketing products and services and operating a profitable business.

So I bought courses, ebooks, and teleseminars. I attended events. I hired coaches. I spent lots of money and lots of time–with limited success.

Eventually, I “got my act together.” But it took many missteps.

Finally, I realized what I was missing: A simple plan and implementation process. And I couldn’t find one.

So that’s why I created Monetize University (abbreviated as “Monetize U,” to help you think, “Monetize You”).  It’s a way for me to deliver to you the lessons I’ve learned in the simplest, least expensive way. Inspired in part by something I heard from James Malinchak–”Always ask yourself, ‘What’s the quickest way to the money?’”–these courses are results-oriented. They tell you how to do things to achieve certain results.
